The Referral Clerk plays a crucial role in managing, processing, and arranging specialty referrals and prior authorizations for healthcare services. This position involves working closely with healthcare providers and nursing teams to guarantee that patients obtain timely specialized care while ensuring precise record-keeping within the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Applicants should possess a high school diploma or GED, with a strong preference for those who have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program. Ideally, candidates will have two to three years of experience in medical administration within a community healthcare environment and possess intermediate computer proficiency.
