M – F | 8 AM – 5 PM
$20.50/HR The Transportation Service Specialist is responsible for managing outbound transportation operations across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role ensures timely, cost-effective, and damage-free delivery of customer orders by coordinating with carriers and internal teams. The position requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to support logistics and customer satisfaction. Transportation Service Specialist Responsibilities:
- Assign daily freight to carrier partners to meet customer delivery deadlines.
- Communicate with carriers, customers, and internal departments to resolve transportation issues.
- Collaborate with manufacturing facilities, customer service, logistics analysts, and material planners.
- Monitor and troubleshoot delivery challenges to ensure on-time and damage-free shipments.
- Maintain professionalism and clear communication across all transportation activities.
Transportation Service Specialist Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems effectively and work collaboratively.
