The surgical technologist plays a vital role in setting up the sterile environment, organizing instruments, and gathering supplies needed for surgical operations. They provide support to the surgical team throughout procedures while ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and managing instrument counts. Applicants are required to possess a CST (NBSTSA) certification and BLS (AHA) certification. Additionally, a degree from an accredited surgical technology program and experience in various surgical specialties are mandatory.
