Job description

Job Summary

The Traveling Cath Lab Tech plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care through assisting in cardiovascular procedures. This position involves traveling to various medical facilities to operate cardiac cath lab equipment, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and supporting healthcare teams during interventional procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation and execution of diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
  • Operate and maintain cardiovascular imaging equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in the cath lab environment.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians and other medical staff to facilitate smooth and efficient procedures.
  • Travel to different locations as needed for temporary assignments.
  • Provide support and education to patients regarding procedures and post-care requirements.

Qualifications

  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification is required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a Cath Lab setting preferred.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications are essential.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in the use of cardiac imaging systems and related technologies.
