Job Summary
The Trust and Estates Paralegal plays a crucial role in providing support to lawyers in the management of trust and estate matters. This position involves assisting with the preparation and filing of legal documents, conducting research, and maintaining accurate records to ensure the smooth operation of the legal processes pertaining to estate planning and administration.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing a variety of legal documents, including wills, trusts, and probate filings.
- Conduct thorough research related to estate and trust law to support case preparation.
- Maintain and organize files, ensuring all paperwork is up-to-date and filed correctly.
- Communicate effectively with clients, court personnel, and other professionals regarding estate matters.
- Manage deadlines and ensure compliance with legal procedures and regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience as a paralegal, preferably in trust and estate law.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and documentation software.
- Strong understanding of trust and estate laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
