Job description
**Utilization Manager**
The Utilization Manager evaluates patient conditions to determine medical necessity, ensures proper clinical documentation, and addresses denials to maximize resource use. This role involves working closely with the healthcare team to enhance discharge planning and adhere to regulatory standards. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a minimum of three years of recent experience in acute clinical practice. A valid North Carolina RN license and Case Management certification (ACM, CCM, or ANCC) must be obtained within two years of employment.
