Job Summary
The Vascular Access Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care by expertly managing vascular access procedures during the night shift. This position entails working with various healthcare professionals to ensure optimal access solutions for patients while prioritizing safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Perform vascular access procedures, including the insertion of peripheral and central lines.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and medical teams to assess patient needs and plan appropriate access strategies.
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes or complications during procedures.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding vascular access options and care.
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and standards related to vascular access.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing or related healthcare licensure.
- Experience in vascular access or equivalent clinical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and safety practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and respond to patients’ needs efficiently.
