Job Summary
The Vascular Step Down RN plays a critical role in providing exceptional nursing care to patients recovering from vascular surgery. This position involves monitoring patients in a step-down unit, ensuring their comfort and safety, and supporting their recovery process. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and develop patient care plans.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition, responding promptly to changes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and rehabilitation.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
- Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in vascular nursing or related field preferred.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
