They engage individuals in activities, instruct on vital life skills, and organize outings into the community. Additionally, these professionals offer direct personal care, provide behavioral assistance, and ensure comprehensive daily electronic record-keeping. Applicants should have a minimum of 6 months of experience in working with people who have intellectual or developmental disabilities and must hold a high school diploma or GED. A current driver’s license and the capability to lift up to 50 pounds are also necessary for this position.
