Job Summary
The Vice President of Clinical Development is tasked with steering the strategic and operational direction of the clinical development programs within an organization. This pivotal role involves leadership in the planning, execution, and completion of clinical trials, ensuring that they are aligned with the company’s overall goals and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead clinical development strategies and plans to advance pipeline products.
- Oversee the design and execution of clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize clinical programs and resources.
- Manage relationships with external partners and stakeholders, including Contract Research Organizations (CROs).
- Provide strategic insight to senior management regarding clinical development progress and challenges.
- Ensure effective communication of clinical results to relevant parties, including regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
- MD or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Extensive experience in clinical development, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of the drug development process and regulatory submissions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience in managing clinical projects and teams effectively.
