Job Summary
The Wastewater Level C Operator is responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities. This role ensures compliance with environmental regulations while optimizing the treatment processes to safeguard public health and the environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems, including pumps and control equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Collect and analyze water samples to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Document operational data and report any irregularities to the supervisor.
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of operational activities and maintenance performed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant certifications in wastewater treatment preferred.
- Experience in wastewater operations or related field.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to wastewater management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
