Job Summary
The Welding Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing welding activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality requirements. This position is responsible for leading a team of welders, coordinating schedules, and maintaining efficient workflows in the welding department.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily welding operations and personnel.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to welding staff.
- Implement training sessions for staff on welding techniques and safety practices.
- Monitor production processes and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize workflows.
- Conduct performance evaluations for welders and recommend improvements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding with a strong understanding of welding processes.
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control procedures.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Relevant certifications in welding (e.g., AWS) may be required.
