Job Summary
The X-Ray Technician plays a crucial role in the healthcare environment, responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray technology. This position requires a strong understanding of radiographic techniques and patient care to ensure accurate imaging and the safety of patients and personnel.
Responsibilities
- Conduct X-ray procedures as per prescribed protocols to obtain quality diagnostic images.
- Prepare and position patients accurately to ensure optimal imaging results.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and radiation protection standards.
- Maintain imaging equipment and ensure proper functioning before each procedure.
- Document patient information and imaging results accurately in medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to discuss imaging findings.
- Provide compassionate care and support to patients during imaging processes.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
- Certification and licensure to practice as an X-ray Technician in the relevant state.
- Strong understanding of radiographic procedures and technologies.
- Excellent patient care skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Attention to detail and capability to perform under pressure.
