Job Summary
The Critical Care Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients experiencing severe or life-threatening health issues. This role demands expertise in critical care and the ability to respond swiftly to patient needs, implementing treatment plans and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to critically ill patients.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions continuously, making prompt interventions as necessary.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create and adjust care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding critical care processes.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Experience in a critical care environment is highly advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
