Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist / OR Tech will play a pivotal role in the operating room, providing crucial support to surgical teams during procedures. This individual is responsible for ensuring a sterile environment and having all necessary instruments and supplies ready, thereby facilitating smooth surgical operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures to prevent infections.
- Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeons during operations.
- Help with patient positioning and draping prior to surgery.
- Clean and sterilize instruments following protocols to ensure safety.
- Participate in the inventory management of surgical supplies and instruments.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist or equivalent.
- Knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
