Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in the operating room by assisting in surgical procedures. This professional is responsible for ensuring all surgical instruments and supplies meet strict sterilization standards and are properly prepared for use. Additionally, the Surgical Technologist will adhere to fire safety protocols within the surgical environment and assist in maintaining patient safety throughout the operation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and surgical supplies.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with sterilization processes and safety standards.
- Assess and meet the needs of patients during surgical preparations.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist or Operating Room Technician program.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or an equivalent qualification.
