Job Summary
The surgeon will be responsible for executing surgical procedures and sharp debridement, along with various bedside interventions aimed at managing chronic and intricate wounds within skilled nursing facilities. This role encompasses the assessment of patients and the application of advanced protocols in wound healing as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct surgical and sharp debridement procedures
- Perform other necessary bedside interventions for wound care
- Evaluate patients’ conditions and needs
- Implement and follow advanced wound healing protocols
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
- Unrestricted medical license in the relevant state
- Eligibility for obtaining a DEA license
- No prior experience in wound care is needed as training will be provided
