Job Summary
The role involves leading therapeutic activity groups and assisting with supported meals while coaching clients in their journey to overcome eating disorders. The objective is to cultivate a recovery-oriented atmosphere in both residential and inpatient settings. Responsibilities also include providing milieu support, maintaining compliance through accurate clinical documentation, and safeguarding confidential information pertaining to clients, staff, and the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate therapeutic activities and support meal times.
- Coach clients to enhance their skills in managing eating disorders.
- Support the maintenance of a recovery-focused environment.
- Offer milieu support to clients as needed.
- Ensure compliance with clinical documentation standards.
- Protect sensitive information regarding clients and the organization.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
- An associate degree or higher, or a minimum of two years of relevant healthcare experience, is preferred.
- Preferred candidates will have at least six months of experience in direct client care or milieu work, especially with eating disorders.
- Residential staff must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must obtain Basic Life Support and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire.
