Job Summary
The Surgical ICU Nurse provides integrated nursing care for patients within the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, adhering to established protocols and the nursing process to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care for Surgical ICU patients.
- Oversee nursing personnel and their activities.
- Collaborate with various healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
- Engage in discharge planning to maintain continuity in patient care post-treatment.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license is mandatory.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification is essential.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Experience in an acute care setting is favorable.
