Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled professional to design, automate, implement, and manage VMware and OpenShift virtualization services. This role involves creating automation workflows, managing access controls, and ensuring effective monitoring and incident resolution. Collaboration with application teams to develop virtualization solutions and capacity planning is an essential component of this position, alongside maintaining both internal and external documentation.
Responsibilities
- Design and automate VMware and OpenShift virtualization services.
- Implement and administer various virtualization workflows and access controls.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to virtualization services.
- Consult with application teams to provide tailored virtualization solutions.
- Plan and evaluate platform capacity for optimal performance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for internal use and customer reference.
Qualifications
- Minimum of eight years of experience in automation development and virtualization infrastructure.
- At least two years of experience specifically with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift Virtualization.
- Proficient in scripting, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD practices.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, networking, monitoring, API integration, and GitOps.
- Experience in testing and secure credential management.
- An associate degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
