Job Summary
The maintenance mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency of production and facility equipment by executing installations, troubleshooting issues, and carrying out repairs. This position is integral to maintaining operational effectiveness within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Install and troubleshoot production and facility equipment.
- Repair machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to avert future issues.
- Manage and track inventory within the maintenance shop.
- Coordinate with management to schedule necessary machine servicing.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of experience as a mechanic within a manufacturing or distribution setting.
- Must be at least eighteen years old.
- Preferred qualifications include industrial certifications related to electrical work or welding.
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems is also preferred.
