Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced professional to take ownership of mechanical and plumbing OFCI equipment packages across various data center locations. This role involves managing all aspects from demand forecasting and sourcing to award, production monitoring, testing, and final delivery. You will contribute your technical expertise, budgeting skills, and commercial insight while collaborating with teams in procurement, legal, finance, construction, operations, design, commissioning partners, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete process of mechanical and plumbing OFCI equipment packages for multiple data center sites.
- Conduct demand forecasting and sourcing for the equipment packages.
- Facilitate awards, track production, and ensure thorough testing before delivery.
- Provide technical and budgetary guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with various teams including procurement, legal, finance, construction, and operations.
- Engage with commissioning partners and OEMs to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of 8–10 years of relevant work experience, including at least five years in support of data centers or other mission-critical facilities.
- Proficiency in mechanical equipment procurement, including bid leveling, submittals, and production tracking.
- Experience with factory testing and understanding of commercial terms.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent packages and advanced skills in Excel.
