Job Summary
The Hemodialysis Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing critical care and support to patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment. This role involves monitoring patient conditions, administering prescribed treatments, and ensuring a safe and effective dialysis experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health and vital signs before, during, and after dialysis sessions.
- Administer necessary medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
- Monitor and document patients’ responses to treatments and report any significant changes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education to patients and their families about the hemodialysis process and self-care post-treatment.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant state.
- Completion of a nursing degree program from an accredited institution.
- Experience in hemodialysis or related nursing field preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
