Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist in the Main Operating Room at Mercy Hospital NWA plays a critical role in the surgical team, ensuring the efficient coordination and care of surgical patients. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of patient safety and procedural flow in the operating environment during daytime shifts.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and organization of the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure patient care standards are met.
- Monitor and maintain sterile fields throughout surgical operations.
- Participate actively in the handling of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Provide support in the overall care of the surgical patient before, during, and after the procedure.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
- Previous experience in an operating room environment is an advantage.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare setting.
