Job Summary
The Material Handler II is responsible for facilitating the accurate handling, movement, and storage of materials in a warehouse setting. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that inventory levels are maintained, shipments are processed effectively, and overall operational efficiency is achieved.
Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and supplies.
- Efficiently retrieve and prepare materials for shipment according to established guidelines.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in the storage areas to adhere to safety protocols.
- Utilize equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks for moving materials as required.
- Assist in inventory tracking and reporting discrepancies to management.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies related to material handling.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory.
- Physical capability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
