Job Summary
The RN – Recovery Services will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the recovery stage post-surgery or medical procedures. This involves monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and ensuring a smooth transition from the recovery unit to either discharge or further treatment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs and overall recovery progress.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Provide patient education and support regarding post-recovery instructions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement optimal patient care plans.
- Document patient care and progress accurately in medical records.
- Respond to patient needs and concerns in a timely manner.
- Ensure a safe and clean recovery environment.
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state.
- Previous experience in recovery services or a similar nursing role preferred.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications may be preferred.
