Job Summary
The position involves performing essential laboratory tasks including venipuncture and specimen collection, while also supporting various administrative functions such as order entry and patient registration. Responsibilities
- Carry out venipuncture and skin punctures for specimen collection.
- Support order entry, billing processes, and patient registration.
- Conduct waived testing and set up laboratory equipment as necessary.
- Load specimens onto instruments and perform necessary maintenance and calibration.
- Ensure quality control procedures are adhered to within the laboratory.
- Manage various office tasks while maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications
- High school diploma is essential.
- BLS/CPR certification is required.
- Experience in phlebotomy is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work 40 hours weekly on the second shift, including weekdays and Saturdays, with responsibilities for holiday and on-call rotation.
