Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician: OR Instrument Specialist to join our team at USPI Memorial Hermann Surgical Hospital Kingwood, located in Houston, Texas. This role involves working onsite and is essential for ensuring the proper care, maintenance, and setup of all surgical instruments and equipment in our operating rooms and treatment areas.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of all surgical instruments.
- Prepare and maintain surgical instrument setups for various procedures.
- Coordinate with surgical teams to guarantee the availability of required instruments.
- Perform regular inspections of surgical instruments to ensure they are functioning properly.
Qualifications
- Experience in sterile processing or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
