Job Summary
The Medical-Surgical 2E Nightshift position is designated for dedicated nursing professionals responsible for delivering comprehensive care to patients in a dynamic medical-surgical unit during night hours. This role focuses on providing high-quality nursing services, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate optimal recovery outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Facilitate effective communication with patients and their families regarding care processes.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and care delivered.
- Assist in the education of patients and families on health management post-discharge.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in a medical-surgical setting is preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- BLS certification, with additional certifications such as ACLS being a plus.
