Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at St. John Medical Center is designed for dedicated professionals who are eager to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients during night shifts. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the ICU, addressing both physical and emotional needs.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and maintain accurate medical records.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and treatment plans.
- Participate in ongoing assessment and evaluation of patient progress.
- Provide support in emergency situations, utilizing critical thinking to make rapid decisions.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in an ICU setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of critical care nursing principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with medical teams.
- Able to work flexible hours, particularly at night, to accommodate patient needs.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
