Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in the delivery of healthcare services. This position involves providing comprehensive patient care, delivering therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. RNs are responsible for monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and educating patients and their families about health management.
Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patient health, including conducting physical exams and obtaining medical histories.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans based on patient assessments and clinical guidelines.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or according to established protocols.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to changes in their conditions.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation of patient care activities.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state nursing license as a Registered Nurse.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program, either as an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to make critical decisions based on patient information.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations and provide compassionate patient care.
- Preferred certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
