Job Summary
The Buyer plays a crucial role in the procurement process, ensuring that the organization acquires the necessary goods and services at optimal prices while maintaining quality and efficiency. This position involves analyzing purchasing trends, negotiating with vendors, and managing stock levels to meet the company’s operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential suppliers for products and services.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure the best deals.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast future purchasing needs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Analyze market trends to identify changes in the supply chain.
- Ensure that purchases align with the company’s budget and quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchases and transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in using purchasing software and tools.
- Ability to analyze data and market trends effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
