Job Summary
The Clinical Program Coordinator, RN (Virtual Second Opinion) plays a pivotal role in enhancing patient care by coordinating virtual consultations and second opinions. This position involves ensuring the seamless operation of clinical programs that provide expert medical insights to patients seeking additional information about their health conditions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day functions of the virtual second opinion program.
- Facilitate communication between patients and medical experts to ensure clarity in understanding diagnoses and treatment options.
- Coordinate logistics of virtual consultations, including scheduling and follow-up activities.
- Maintain comprehensive records of patient interactions and outcomes to facilitate quality improvement.
- Support patients throughout the healthcare journey by providing education and resources tailored to their specific needs.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably related to care coordination or telehealth.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in using electronic health records and telehealth technology.
