Job Summary

The Cost Engineer plays a crucial role in managing project costs and budgets, ensuring financial performance aligns with the goals of the organization. This position involves analyzing financial data, preparing cost estimates, and providing strategic insights to facilitate effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough cost analysis and prepare accurate project cost estimates.
  • Monitor and track project expenditures against budgets throughout the project duration.
  • Provide cost-related recommendations to optimize financial performance.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations related to cost management for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project teams to gather relevant cost details and contract terms.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Analyze market trends and adjust cost estimates accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in cost estimating and cost control in construction projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
