Job Summary
The CT Technologist plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, specializing in operating computed tomography equipment to produce diagnostic images. This position requires a strong understanding of both imaging techniques and safety protocols. The CT Tech’s functions are essential in supporting physicians with accurate imaging, thereby contributing to effective patient care.
Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced computer tomography equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Prepare patients for scans, ensuring their comfort while explaining procedures clearly.
- Maintain and manage the CT equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Collaborate with medical staff to discuss imaging results and assist in patient assessments.
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices for patient care during imaging procedures.
- Document and record patient information and imaging results accurately.
Qualifications
- Must be a certified Radiologic Technologist with specific training in CT imaging.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and imaging techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to support patient interactions and team cooperation.
- Ability to operate CT imaging equipment competently and safely.
- Experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
