Job Summary
The CT Technologist (CT Tech) plays a pivotal role in the field of medical imaging by utilizing computed tomography technology to produce cross-sectional images of patients. This position requires a thorough understanding of anatomy and imaging techniques to assist radiologists in diagnosing medical conditions accurately. The CT Tech is responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of patients while delivering high-quality imaging services.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients correctly for CT scans.
- Operate CT equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists to provide detailed imaging for diagnosis.
- Ensure quality control and maintain imaging equipment to meet standards.
- Monitor patient well-being throughout the scanning process.
- Keep accurate records of examinations and procedures performed.
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Qualifications
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT.
- Active state license to operate radiologic equipment.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, imaging protocols, and patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with CT machines and imaging software preferred.
