Job Summary
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) scans to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Working primarily during the mid or second shift, this role involves collaboration with medical teams to ensure accurate imaging and optimal patient care. The technologist must be proficient in operating CT equipment and utilizing safe practices to enhance patient experience and ensure quality imaging outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct CT imaging procedures while ensuring high-quality diagnostic results.
- Prepare and position patients for scans while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain CT equipment, troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with physicians and other medical staff to discuss scan findings and recommendations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
- Document all images and patient information accurately and responsibly.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Active certification as a Radiologic Technologist with a CT specialization.
- Strong understanding of CT imaging techniques and patient care processes.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work flexible hours, primarily mid or second shift.
