Job description
The Denial Specialist is responsible for examining and assessing DRG downgrades to craft appeal letters grounded in evidence and improve reimbursement processes. This role also involves delivering continuous training to both clinical and coding teams to strengthen documentation practices and reduce the likelihood of future denials. Applicants should possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and maintain an active Registered Nurse license in Connecticut. A minimum of four years in progressively responsible inpatient or clinical documentation roles is essential.
