Job description
Job Summary
The Dialysis RN is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. This role requires skilled management of patient assessments, treatment administration, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients prior to dialysis treatments.
- Administer dialysis and associated treatment protocols while monitoring patient vitals.
- Document patient progress and respond to any changes in their condition.
- Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures and self-care techniques.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant state.
- Experience in dialysis nursing is preferred.
- Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
