Job description

Job Summary

The Emergency Department Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in providing immediate medical care and support to patients with acute health issues. This position involves assessing patient conditions, delivering emergency treatments, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients in need of emergency care.
  • Implement and monitor treatment plans for individuals experiencing urgent medical conditions.
  • Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare staff during emergency procedures.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health concerns.
  • Document all patient interactions and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a safe and sterile environment in the emergency department.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the appropriate state.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
  • Experience in emergency nursing or critical care nursing is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to assess, prioritize, and provide care to multiple patients effectively.
