Job Summary
The Environmental Services Aide at Crestwood Medical Center plays a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This full-time position operates during the first shift and is crucial to upholding the hospital’s infection control and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning and sanitation of various areas within the medical facility, including patient rooms, hallways, and public spaces.
- Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment according to established safety protocols.
- Follow infection control procedures to minimize hazards and maintain a healthy environment.
- Assist in the set-up and breakdown of meeting rooms as needed and handle waste disposal in compliance with regulations.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to appropriate personnel to contribute to a secure workplace.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a cleaning or custodial role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to upholding high cleanliness standards.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude while interacting with patients and staff.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
