Industrial Painter
Location: Avon, OH
Compensation: $24/HR
As an Industrial Painter, your primary role will involve applying final finishes to specifications using both hand painting tools and an automatic painting line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting according to work directions, employing techniques with spray guns, rollers, and brushes.
- Utilize the appropriate technical guidelines and tools throughout the painting process.
- Conduct cleaning and upkeep of all painting equipment, ensuring that workspaces are tidy and organized on a daily basis.
- Adhere to safety protocols to mitigate risks of on-the-job injuries by wearing the required safety gear (such as Powered Air Purifying Respirators) and following established procedures. Actively identify and correct unsafe practices and conditions.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute positively to the group dynamic.
- Exhibit strong reasoning skills when interacting with internal stakeholders.
- Provide training, share expertise, and support fellow team members, while modeling effective problem-solving, conflict resolution, work ethic, and reliability.
- Proactively recognize, address, and resolve issues related to products or team members.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in automotive or aerospace painting is preferred.
- A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for this role.
- Applied Math: Level 4, or proven proficiency (ability to add, subtract, measure units, multiply, divide, handle fractions, and decimals).
- Reading proficiency: Level or demonstrated ability.
- A minimum of one year of experience in painting or coating application, or an equivalent demonstrated capability.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and stand, with potential lifting of up to 50 pounds.
