Job Summary
The Lead Packaging Engineer is responsible for directing the comprehensive packaging approach for the movement of materials, including inbound, in-plant, and inter-plant logistics across various product lines. This position entails crafting tailored packaging solutions, overseeing supplier partnerships, and guiding a team to guarantee that production scales adhere to both quality and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a complete packaging strategy for all materials.
- Design and propose custom packaging solutions tailored to specific needs.
- Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Mentor and provide leadership to the packaging engineering team.
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards during production ramps.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply chain management.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in packaging engineering.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software.
- Experience in material handling and validation standards.
- Demonstrated ability in leading cross-functional projects.
