Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality nursing care within a correctional facility. This position involves closely monitoring the health of patients and effectively administering prescribed medications. The nurse will also be engaged in vital documentation of patient progress in medical records, as well as contributing to health promotion initiatives and developing treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in a correctional environment.
- Monitor and assess patient health status regularly.
- Administer medications as prescribed by medical professionals.
- Document patient conditions and treatments in medical records accurately.
- Assist in the implementation of health promotion activities and treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Graduation from a Licensed Practical Nursing program is required.
- An active LPN license in Colorado is mandatory.
- Current CPR certification is essential.
- Must be able to fulfill annual clinical competency requirements.
