Job Summary
The Mammogram Technician plays a crucial role in providing high-quality mammography services. They are responsible for performing breast imaging procedures in a professional and compassionate manner, ensuring patient comfort and safety while adhering to established standards and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Conduct mammography examinations using advanced imaging equipment.
- Ensure patient identification and prepare them for imaging procedures.
- Maintain a sterile and organized environment in accordance with safety standards.
- Provide information to patients regarding the procedure and answer any questions.
- Document images and assist radiologists in interpreting results.
- Assist in quality assurance processes and equipment maintenance.
- Adhere to privacy regulations and maintain the confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications
- A valid certification in mammography from a recognized body.
- Experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in radiology or mammography.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse patient populations.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to imaging procedures.
