Material Handler Overview:
In the role of Material Handler at Walton Plastics, you will be essential in facilitating production processes by effectively transporting materials across the facility. This position demands excellent organizational skills, a collaborative attitude, and meticulous attention to detail within a dynamic manufacturing setting. Training will encompass various production methods to provide a comprehensive understanding of plant operations.

Material Handler Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility

• Prepare and organize materials for future production tasks

• Band, pack, label, and weigh products and pallets

• Assist in the shipping and receiving of materials

• Accurately process and complete related paperwork

• Utilize hand tools including hammers, circular saws, table saws, band saws, and nail guns

• Keep work areas tidy and well-organized

• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies

• Provide support to production and management teams as required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED is essential

• Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is preferred

• Tow motor/forklift certification is necessary

• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally over 100 lbs

• Competence in reading, writing clearly, and interpreting tape measures

• Basic math skills are required

• Aptitude to multitask, self-manage, and collaborate effectively within a team

• Familiarity with basic computer operations is a plus
