Job Summary
The Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive patient care for individuals in a medical-surgical setting. This position demands a skilled nursing professional who can manage a diverse patient population, delivering essential medical support while fostering a compassionate care environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and monitor vital signs, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to care planning.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BSN preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to respond to changing patient conditions.
- Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a Med/Surg setting is preferred, demonstrating proficiency in the required clinical skills.
