Medical Assistant
Sanford, FL
Pay Rate: $20/hour The Medical Assistant 2 will support physicians and care teams while serving as a trusted, bilingual point of contact for patients. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative outpatient environment. Medical Assistant 2 Responsibilities:
· Room and prepare patients for appointments
· Obtain and record vital signs
· Discuss symptoms and gather patient information
· Enter information into Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
· Administer injections as permitted by certification
· Perform diagnostic testing
· Collect specimens and laboratory samples
· Perform blood draws and phlebotomy procedures
· Sterilize and clean medical equipment
· Prepare and maintain examination rooms
· Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff
Medical Assistant 2 Qualifications:
· 1–3 years of Medical Assistant experience in a back-office/direct patient care setting
· Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
· Current Medical Assistant certification or registration (CMA/RMA)
· Current CPR Certification
· Less than 2 years of professional leadership experience
· Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment
· Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
· Basic computer skills
