Job Summary
The Nurse Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing nursing teams, facilitating effective patient care, and ensuring compliance with hospital documentation protocols. This position requires oversight of nursing staff and contributions to the enhancement of nursing practices within the unit.
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing personnel and coordinate their activities to ensure optimal patient care.
- Ensure that all patient care services are documented according to hospital standards.
- Train and mentor nursing staff to promote professional growth and development.
- Manage and oversee inventory of unit supplies to maintain service efficiency.
- Participate in developing and refining nursing procedures and protocols.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid state Registered Nurse license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- A degree from an accredited nursing program is essential.
- A minimum of two years of experience in hospital nursing is required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a leadership role within nursing is preferred.
