Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) to join our team. This role involves providing essential support in occupational therapy services to patients, enhancing their ability to perform daily activities and improve their overall quality of life. The OTA/COTA will collaborate with therapists to implement treatment plans effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the execution of individualized treatment programs under the supervision of licensed Occupational Therapists.
- Document patient progress and report significant changes to the supervising therapist.
- Support patients in learning and practicing various skills necessary for daily living.
- Ensure the provision of a safe and supportive environment during therapy sessions.
- Participate in the evaluation and adjustment of treatment plans as required.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid OTA/COTA certification.
- A degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program is required.
- Experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for patient interaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
