Job Summary
The RN Night Shift position is essential for providing high-quality patient care during nighttime operations. This role requires a dedicated individual who can work independently while collaborating with a healthcare team to ensure patient needs are met efficiently and effectively throughout the night.
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate and appropriate nursing care to patients during the night shift.
- Monitor patient health and progress, recording vital signs and relevant information.
- Administer medications and assist with medical procedures as per established protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patient interactions.
- Educate patients and their families about post-discharge plans and health maintenance.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program.
- At least one year of nursing experience is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) may be necessary depending on the unit.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
