Job Summary
The RN Night Shift role involves providing essential nursing care during nighttime hours, ensuring the well-being and comfort of patients. The RN will work collaboratively within a healthcare team to deliver high-quality medical care and support to patients, with a focus on monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and maintaining patient records. This position is critical in delivering round-the-clock healthcare services.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care and evaluate patients’ health status throughout the night shift.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with healthcare protocols.
- Monitor and document patients’ progress and report any changes in their condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans.
- Support patients and their families by providing education and emotional support.
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards to maintain a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Prior experience in a nursing role, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and be part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including night shifts.
