Job Summary
The RN Night Shift position is designed for registered nurses who will deliver excellent care to patients during night hours in various healthcare settings. This role requires a commitment to promoting patient health and well-being while ensuring a safe and effective care environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments to patients as per physician’s orders.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs regularly.
- Prepare and maintain patient records and documentation accurately.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and recovery processes.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care as needed.
- Participate in staff meetings and continuing education to enhance nursing knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid and active RN license.
- Previous experience in nursing, particularly in a night shift capacity, is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and their families.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are highly desirable.
